AXIS Financial Group has access to a range of investment research and offer our own AXIS Portfolios as an effective investment option for each of our clients, depending on the product they want to use.

Before recommending a suitable portfolio, however, we assess your investment objective against your risk profile.

Your investment objective refers to what you’d like to achieve financially from your investment and from this we invest your money in one of five pre-mixed portfolios, which cater for every level of risk profile:

Conservative	The most important thing to me is the protection of my existing accumulated benefit in the short term. I understand that this will mean limited exposure to growth assets. It doesn’t worry me that this will result in a much lower return over the long term and I may be in the fund for a short period.
Cautious	I am interested in Growth assets, but my main priority is to reduce the possibility of a negative return in any year. I recognise that this will result in lower returns than the Prudent option in the longer term.
Prudent	I am an investor who wants a balance between Income and Growth assets. I know that over a longer term, this will result in lower returns than the Assertive option, but there is also less likelihood of producing a negative return. This may happen occasionally.
Assertive	I am after solid growth over the long term recognising that I may have negative returns at some stage. I want to have my investments spread across a range of predominantly growth assets with the expectation of higher returns.
Aggressive	I am prepared to accept significant fluctuations in my returns from year to year, providing that over the long term my investment has grown significantly. I realise that I might have negative returns in any one or subsequent years.
